SEOBy comes from "Search Engine Optimization By..." and is intended to be an informal professional organization for those that practice Search Engine Optimization, and operators of Internet search engines, vertical industry portals, and web directories

The idea behind SEOBy is simple:

1) SEOs and website owners submit the same information over and over to different search engines.

2) Search engine and directory editors all review and edit the same information submitted to each site over and over again.

3) SEOBy.org is the first organization that intends to unite both aspects of the search industry to reduce this duplication of effort, and promote other uses of technology and common sense to improve the search industry for professionals and users alike.

There is no cost to join SEOBy and currently, the benefits to members is limited. But the value of being part of the organization is expected to increase as the organization attracts more members and industry attention.
