GreatMax International Holdings Ltd
I just wanted to post with the name of the fictitious company, GreatMax International Holdings Ltd., used in the trademark domain registration scam in the title, so it would be easy for people to find it. Previous posts here explain what's going on.
Chinese Domain and Trademark Scam
No, I do not understand.
You have already TOLD us the company name was "GreatMax International Holdings Ltd" and now you are saying you cannot tell us the name? You should not have said anything to start with! If GreatMax is a real company, is not their information public? If so, why can't you tell us how we can contact them?
If you will not provide the information that I asked for about the GreatMax company, I will have to assume you are a fraud and just looking for us to register domains and services that we do not need. And we WILL be informing the Chinese government via our contacts in Beijing if this is the case and other authorities as well.
Please let me know today of your decision in this matter.
Dear Chris,
I'm sorry. As a registrar in China, we must keep commercial secrets for applicants(including applicant name, email, telephone, business activity), for example, you register these domain names through our body, we will not let the third party know your documents. I believed you are not willing to let the third party see. Hope you can understand.
I can help them to solve the problem with every effort (they will have some questions). let us keep in touch.
Your Sincere,
Tony

RE: Nielsentech Trademark Scam
Dear Tony,
Yes, we were thinking the same thing about GreatMax. Please forward me the contact information for them. I would like our legal department to see what they can do about this. They tell me that GreatMax has been causing problems for us in other countries like Europe and South America. We need to stop them now.
Can you send the application form and any information about costs and method of payments?
We need to take care of this right away before it's too late. Our domain names and trademarks are serious things that we cannot have someone commit fraud or scams about them. ANYONE we find trying to scam or rip us off will be very, very sorry they ever tried it. We happen to have a company team in Beijing right now and I will be in touch with them to discuss this problem with our contacts at the Chinese government. Someone will pay for this outrage!
Again, I have to thank you and your company for being so honest and bringing this to our attention. I look forward to working with you firm for as long as you are in business, and may that be longer that the lifespan of the Minnesota Mayfly!
Thank you,
Chris Nielsen
Dear ,
According to our investigation,GreatMax company is a Hong Kong company. If you have no relationship with them.According to our working experience, there are 2 possibilities:
1. GreatMax company is a domain name investment company, they wat to register these names before you and sell back to you to gain profits.
2. It may be a commercial method,GreatMax company is consigned by your competitor to register, make your clients confused.
In addition, as a registrar in China, we must keep commercial secrets for applicants(including applicant name, email, telephone, business activity), for example, if you register these domain names through our body, we will not let the third party know your documents. Hope you can understand.
We knew you have registered the domain name"nielsentech.com"and own the intellectual property, this is why we informed you.But you must know the domain name takes open registration, this is international domain name registration principle. So GreatMax company has right to register it.As a domain name registrar,we have no right to dispute their application. So required by China government to inform your company to protect your interest. As the owner of "nielsentech.com",you will get the priority to register these domain names and keywords.
If you think their registration will confuse your clients and harm your profits,we can send an application form to you and help you register these within dispute period. This is the only way to prevent domain name grab.If you don't think their application will affect your company, you can give up.We will finish their registration.Hope get your decision ASAP,so that we can handle the next step.
Best regards,
Tony Ji

New Business Networking Site SPAMs for Members
This is the third spam I've gotten from these assholes. They are connected with the Fast Pitch! network which has spammed me without mercy in the past. I'm going to do the same thing with their emails that I have don't in the past, which is to set up an email forward that sends a copy to their hosting provider and domain registrar. Let them deal with these jerks.
Oh, by the way, you can get commissions for referrals, but you have to sign up and pay first yourself. Now why would anyone do that when they can join sites like Linkedin.com for free? Frankly, this sounds a LOT like another pyramid scheme to me. Another bad idea executed in the worst possible manner by using email spam to promote it...! Avoid These Losers.

Danny Sullivan Unveils Toyota Tundra Race Truck to Compete in the 40th Anniversary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000
Today, T Force Motorsports officially unveiled the #33 race truck scheduled to compete in the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 on November 13th. Founded earlier this year by Dan Friedkin and former Indy 500 winner and open-wheel racing star Danny Sullivan, the professional program was assembled in just under six months.
Vista, CA (PRWEB) November 7, 2007 -- Today, T Force Motorsports officially unveiled the #33 race truck scheduled to compete in the legendary Tecate SCORE Baja 1000 on November 13th. Founded earlier this year by Dan Friedkin and former Indy 500 winner and open-wheel racing star Danny Sullivan, the professional program was assembled in just under six months.
The race vehicle is a Toyota Tundra Trophy Truck able to exert 765 horsepower and reach speeds nearing 140 mph on dirt. "The truck is reliable and fast, with engineering advances in multiple areas including steering and suspension" stated Crew Chief Christian Reicher. When the race truck crosses the starting line, it will be the second Tundra in off-road history to compete in the premier Trophy Truck class, following Ivan Stewart's in the year 2000. Driving duties will be shared between Friedkin, Sullivan, Rex Whiteside and promising up-and-coming driver Chad Ragland.
The race is celebrating its fortieth anniversary this year. Starting in Ensenada, Baja California and finishing in Cabo San Lucas, the 1,296-mile course is a grueling mix of desert terrain. Veteran drivers who have seen many of the past forty events are commenting on this year's course difficulty, and many are calling it the toughest in the event's history. Although competing in a vehicle class capable of winning the overall title, Sullivan noted, "In our first year, merely completing the Baja 1000 will be a tremendous accomplishment."

Where To Park User Generated Content?
Domain Industry Magnates Back SharedReviews
Syndicated user-generated content will power the next generation of domain parking platforms.
Toronto, ON (PRWEB) November 1, 2007 -- SharedReviews announced today the closing of a first round investment. The funding round was done by Frank Schilling and Monster Venture Partners. Also participating in the current round of financing is Internet Real Estate Group, a leading developer of premium Internet domain names.
Rob Monster, Managing Director of Monster Venture Partners said, "The boundary between producers and consumers of digital content is blurring as user-generated content is playing an ever increasing role in influencing attitudes and behaviors of online consumers. SharedReviews fills an important gap in the market in terms of providing "wisdom of the crowd" oversight of user-generated content, compensating reviewers who deliver high quality content, and distributing the content over large networks of underutilized Internet real estate."
Frank Schilling, founder of Name Administration, is known to many as the world's most successful domain portfolio manager with a portfolio of hundreds of thousands of high quality generic internet domains. Frank is also viewed as an authority on domain industry trends and is a frequent speaker on topics related to domain monetization.
"My investment in SharedReviews is first and foremost a bet on people. Peter Ejtel (CEO) and Frank Michlick (COO) are two gentlemen whom I have known for years and whom I respect greatly. I also believe in the vision of syndicating high quality content onto under-developed domains as a step forward on the path to full domain development for domain properties that receive significant traffic and are good candidates for indexing by search engines due to the presence of truly novel and useful content." added Frank Schilling
Internet Real Estate Group, rounded out the financing and also brings a network of Internet domains as well as deep knowledge of the Internet domain landscape.
"Building a strong Internet brand has a lot to do with helping users find relevant and compelling content related to their area of interest. Quality content generated by users is a very important piece of that puzzle," said Mike "Zappy" Zapolin CEO of Internet Real Estate Group.
"Internet Real Estate Group controls a number of Web 2.0 properties where the integration of user generated content is a design requirement. For example, Chocolate.com is built on a proprietary online storefront engine which is extendable to a range of popular online shopping categories. At the same time, we know that chocolate is a popular review category on SharedReviews. It did not take us long to make the connection between how the companies would be able to leverage each other" added Andrew Miller, President of Internet Real Estate Group.
SharedReviews is currently in a limited public beta test of its flagship portal, SharedReviews.com. The company's full launch of SharedReviews is set for early December, just in time for the year-end holiday shopping season.
"With SharedReviews providing a safe social environment for members to maintain detailed demographic profiles and a community with which to share consumer experiences, it has been an ongoing focus for us to leverage non-traditional monetization verticals to define the true value of this high quality consumer feedback. We are delighted to have assembled an investor group with expertise to help tap this lucrative search vertical and better reward our users' contributions," said Peter Ejtel, CEO of SharedReviews.
About SharedReviews
SharedReviews was founded to enable consumers to monetize high quality user-generated content. With established third party distribution partners looking to increase value within their advertising networks, SharedReviews bridges the gap between market demand and content creators in an open and honest transparency.
